As Morocco's largest city Casablanca is considered the economic capital of Morocco. The Port of Casablanca is one of the largest artificial ports in the world and the largest port of North Africa. It is also the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy. The city itself offers a shop window for some of the best architecture of the 1920's. Many Art-Deco buildings are located on Mohammed V boulevard and in the old Mers Sultan European quarter.
